heat storage
To ensure the control operation of an SCR system, the exhaust gas temperature about 240 ° C must be achieved for optimal regeneration process. Due to the low exhaust temperatures, especially for new engine systems, you have to make the exhaust aftertreatment these temperatures required by eg heat storage. Between the engine and the SCR unit are often several feet exhaust pipe, which without isolation results in a high thermal loss of the exhaust gas temperature, so there is an insufficient supply at the required temperature for the exhaust gas treatment system.
